Abbott Church is an abandoned church in the eastern plains farmland outside of Colorado. Built over 100 years ago the church serves as a reminder of the promises of the Homestead Act of 1862. This was taken late at night in September when the Milky Way core rose vertically over the church. Due to the remote area, low light pollution makes this an ideal location for astrophotography.
